It’s time for volume two of PAN AFRICAN THINK TANK, the EP! I wanted to spend time weaving history and trailblazing ancestors into songs. Even though the genre is Tribal Trill, each song has a different genre undertone as well. “TOUSSAINT” incorporates Southern Hip-Hop/Trap sounds, “MALCOLM” incorporates Reggae sounds, “NZINGA” incorporates Soundtrack/Singer-Songwriter vibes, and “HATSHEPSUT” incorporates House sounds. GHSTKNTE did his thing with the beats, while I kept it modern-day historical with the lyrics. The EP cover art pays homage to the Black/Afro Berbers, also known as Moors. All the Christin SanDiego volumes, there will be three, were supposed to actually be my second album. I haven’t been in an album mood in a long time, so that’s why I’m now here with the second volume. So yeah, I’m back with “Christin SanDiego Vol. 2”, keeping in line with 4 tracks and 2 Chopped & Screwed tracks! Back with the visuals around the world, of course. My favorite thing about these Christin SanDiego EPs is the music videos. Music + Travel = A Perfect Life. The Urban Pop sound is back with the exception of the track “You Have Gotten Me (So Used To You)”; it’s a hardcore contemporary R&B track, a slow romantic track which I normally don’t do. Christin SanDiego Vol. 2 Digital Album Booklet

I wanted to create a time capsule of my childhood memories in Dallas, Texas, and my teenage years in Pasadena, California. “Back In The Day (Homies)”, produced by Magic, gave me a nostalgic feel as soon as I heard the beat. The first verse is about my cousins and me and everything we would get into while playing outside. The second verse is about my friends and me, recalling our hangout spots in Southern California. As you grow, life takes you in different directions, different parts of the world, etc., but it doesn’t mean that the memories don’t still hold a special place. It doesn’t mean that the people you spent those times with don’t still hold a special place, because they do. Press play and reminisce…
