Charlotte Russe Is Now Blacklisted From My Shopping List

I’ve been shopping at Charlotte Russe since 2009 because I loved their summer styles, but as of today…I am letting them go. It all started when I ordered a dress from them during December 2010. I ordered a medium but it really felt like it was a large. I washed the dress 4 times in hot water and dried it on the hottest level of heat and I still couldn’t fit it. I ended up giving it away because I was so frustrated with it. I didn’t want to send it back because the shipping would have cost more than the dress since I got it on sale. Then I ordered a cute taupe purse that only opened by pushing a button which opened the latch. When I pressed the button on the purse it came straight off. I had to call Charlotte Russe and explain to them my issue so I could get a pre-paid postage stamp because shipping it back on my own would have been $10; no way Jose! I then ordered the cutest summer shoes. When they arrived I saw they the strap had been scratched up and it was completely noticeable. I had to explain to the Charlotte Russe customer service again, but this time they didn’t see it as a big deal so they had to speak to the supervisor and then they would make the decision about sending me a pre-paid postage stamp or not. So I finally received the postage stamp two days later. At that time, Charlotte Russe is supposed to send out a new item; an exchange. But behold, when I got the email stating that they were sending a new pair of shoes it, it said they were on backorder. Any shopaholic knows what Backorder means; they are never getting anymore and if they do, it will be 6 months- 1 year later. So I ended up keeping the defective shoes that I’m planning to fix someway. Then the straw that broke the camel’s back. I sent back a shirt that I ordered because I ordered a medium and clearly, this shirt had to be an x-large; so I wanted a small. I get an email from them stating they have processed my return but didn’t say they were exchanging it, as I clearly wrote in my comments on the order form I sent back to Charlotte Russe. The customer service lady and her supervisor informed me that they don’t do exchanges. I said ok, well I want to order that shirt again. The problem was that I bought the shirt with a promotional coupon since on one of my earlier purchases I spent $100 so they gave me a $15 off coupon and the shirt was exactly $15. I was then informed that I would have to spend $15 because the promotion is expired so I will have to pay out of pocket now. Hmm, I’ve been in situations like this before and I was give the promotion coupon back or had it credited to my credit card so I can use it later…with other online shopping sites of course! The customer service lady then informed me that she would give me free shipping if I would like to order something now. Haha!!! Shipping is only $5 and my shirt is $15; are you freakin’ kidding me!!! I told her no thank you and I will never order anything from Charlotte Russe ever again. Goodbye! So to sum this up I didn’t get to use the promotional coupon that I received for spending $100 with them before, I paid shipping charges each way, and I’m without a shirt…Bad Business, literally and figuratively.
