I am a member of IBOC and was happy to know that we were having church in the new church across the street on Thanksgiving. They were trying to leave me at home at first because I didn’t get up in time but I was like “Oh no!”. So we parked and started walking on the new parking lot heading to the new building.lol.It was like we had to brace ourselves before we walked into the door. We got in and it didn’t feel like church anymore. It felt like I was walking into a new business building because there was just so many ushers that were not in the old church. Everyone looked business like; like church had became a business. I saw fish tanks and murals and I was just looking around taking it all in like it was a museum. I like big churches but this one was weird because I really got to see my church move up.I was feeling a little uneasy. The sanctuary was full so our options were: the chapel, the ushers’ room, and the restaurant. I decided lets go to the restaurant. Vicky Winans started talking and singing and it began to feel like church again. At that moment I realized that it’s the people that make the building a church. It felt like the old church again. I was happy! It was nice to see our church move up as we bring more people into Christ. It was nice to see little kids that have never been to an aquarium take pictures against the tanks. I love to see little kids smile…It make me happy. So overall…it was a great experience with the family. An that was just the beginning of Thanksgiving.
