Music and Songwriting: Nothing in Life Is Guaranteed

Haha, money…don’t you love how people differ when it comes to money. I informed Crown Jones that it takes money…like hella money to promote an album and that we haven’t even nearly hit the cusp! I remember that day too. I was leaving work and he sent me a text message saying that this must stop, he didn’t want to do it anymore, why did we need to spend all this money on stuff that wasn’t event guaranteed to make our album sell; like I could hear the screams through the text messages. My first reaction was “What the fuck? You can’t be serious? I myself have already invested so much time and money into this.” My second reaction was “Welp, better now than later. Maybe I should just go solo. Just get over my fears of being along and not have to take into consideration anyone else’s opinions and just do me.” We had a conversation after that and Crown wanted to see the rest of the expenses we’d need for the next 3 months and that he’d support my solo album and get some tracks to me. All in all, if you feel that way about something once, you can feel that way about the same thing again. We agreed to shoot the 2nd video for the 2nd single ♪Everything That I Do♪, and reconvene at a later time, just making the focus my album. Yeah….that didn’t happen…I got into my album heavy, we started working on some stuff with his group and we decided to just let it die. At least this time we were both happy, we’ll at least it seemed that way, with the outcome and that was that. I learned sooooooo much about releasing an album. If it wasn’t for this album I would have completed a goal of mind that I had since I was 14, getting my publishing company with the Harry Fox Agency. I mean, Apollo’s Interlude’s ♫Any Which Way♫ album opened my eyes to a lot of stuff and yes I’m going to say it again…I learned even more about the business. It was absolutely a great experience regardless.
