The Dream At The Palladium Ballroom In Dallas

The Dream is inspirational to me because I love to write songs. He is one of my favorite songwriters; I love his style, the way everything flows, the way he composes, etc. I never felt that he was one of the best of singers, but that wasn’t going to stop me from seeing him live. Of course I went with my little brother and we got to the concert early as usual. I was surprised to not be the first ones at the door; another lady had been there 4 hours before showtime. We walked into the venue to see that The Dream had it set up with tables and chairs, unlike the usually general standing admission concerts. We ended up sitting with the lady and her partner who were there first in line. She was hilarious because she loves The Dream, especially his eyes. Lol. Roses were passed out to every lady in the venue. I thought that was a cool gesture on The Dream’s behalf. The DJ played a lot of older music, like 90’s/early 00’s music, which was good for a change because it was an older crowd…versus the past concerts we had been attending. I was kind of surprised that there were no opening acts, which meant the concert might let out at a decent time. But he did bring Casha, the girl her signed to his record label, Radio Killa Records. The Dream came on and the crowd went crazy of course. I’m so used to standing at concerts to be able to dance that I knew I wasn’t going to be sitting in that chair for long. I stood up and danced throughout the whole concert. I knew every lyric of course! The stage set up was great compared to the other shows I’ve seen at that particular venue. The band was great; they were rocking out. I must give credit where credit is due…The Dream vocals are excellent versus performances I saw when we first came out. He actually sounds like he does on the records now. The Dream brought a girl on stage for the song ♫Purple Kisses♫ and it was crazy because the lady that was sitting by us wanted to get picked, and coincidentally she knew the girl that got picked. It was hilarious to me because The Dream rubbed on that girl’s thigh, nibbled on her ear, grinded on her and whatnot. I was like no no, I wouldn’t have allowed it, and my bae wouldn’t have either. I don’t know where his hands have been. Lol! But it was all out of fun; let an audience member connect with the artist. But of course the night was great…I got my money’s worth! ☺
