Queen Nzinga’s story is a captivating one, marked by her fierce dedication to protecting her people and her tribe. Her life is so rich and dramatic, it almost feels like a soap opera. Yet, her legacy as a Warrior Queen is firmly established. Writing this song took longer than usual—about two hours—as I found myself deeply reflecting on the parallels between Nzinga and my own life, and how to make the song resonate with today’s world. This song is epic! It definitely gives movie soundtrack feels, and I know I did it justice with the lyrics 🙏🏽.
