With songwriting, you have the power to positively or negatively subconsciously influence those who listen to music. I’ve always had a way with words and chosen to write in a way that gets people to think. “KING” off the EP, Pan African Think Tank Vol. 1, was indeed a song that I wanted to use to do the opposite of what the music industry, and even the media, would want to be done regarding the portrayal of men of African descent.
