Because I Am a Woman: I don’t need to hear your disrespectful word of Bitch. I am classy so I will never be a hoe. I need you to be respectful to the fact that sex is not a necessity. I take it in a disrespectful way when you dare ask me can you spend a night; matter of a fact don’t call me your baby, because I belong to no one. I don’t need you signs of affection when I see no signs of me even showing interest.

Because I Am a Woman: I understand because that I have a man, and he’s supposed to support me. But I don’t need you money, I am an independent woman. I don’t need you trying to be my father, I already have one. You have to respect my mind-set about how I feel about certain situations, and I expect you to stand behind my decisions. I am the type of woman who is there for her man, so you should be there for me as well, this can’t be a take/take situation. I understand that you enjoy having me but never say that we compliment/complete each other. I’ve been complete before you came along, you were just extra. I compliment my own self without the help of others.

Because I Am a Woman: I understand that you are a girl and haven’t matured yet. A woman does not fight battles that they would have fought years ago. A woman has dignity and knows that fighting doesn’t solve things, especially about petty childish issues. A woman doesn’t mind having fun, but she is not childish. A woman will not gossip with you and your clique. I am woman who is straight-forward and takes responsibility for my words. I look at you as a lost girl when I see you with your body exposed so males can look at you and give you attention. A woman knows the difference between negative and positive attention. A woman knows the difference between attracting men vs. boys. A woman is secure, and doesn’t need to alter herself in order to fit someone else’s fantasy image of how they should be. A woman will help girls become a woman, only if a girl is willing to learn, because a woman wastes no time on people who feel they know everything. A woman knows that she doesn’t know everything and is still willing to learn as well.

Because I Am a Woman: I am me regardless. A woman is aware of her flaws and doesn’t shy away from them. A woman knows who they are; I’ve never tried to find myself, because I created myself. A woman is productive and always thinking about the future, because time waits for no man. You can call me bouggie, but a woman has high expectations and will not settle for less. A woman knows where she came from and knows where she’s going and is all about progressing. A woman has wisdom and is willing to be real and share the truth. A woman gets the job done without excuses and understands that she has to work harder in this man dominated world. A woman knows that life isn’t fair and is just trying to make life better for her and those others that are around her. A woman doesn’t take shit from anyone; because she lets others know where she stands and that she deserves respect. Most of all a woman is strong…just look back at history and everything they have had to go through, and they are still pushing on.

You don’t become a woman by age, looks, or because you have a child. Being a woman is having a certain Mature Mindset.
