My Drive Never Depreciates, It Only Appreciates…Because Of Inspiration
My Genb 2301 (Business Lab) Teacher
Jamie Belinne picture is up here for a reason. She was told all her life my peers that basically “she sucks!” in athletics. They never wanted to pick her for anything so she just figured she was no good. When she became an adult, one of her friends told her she should compete in a triathlon. She was like ok even though she felt she was going to do terrible! She finished it and she wasn’t even last. She never even had faith in herself in sports because so many people told her no without giving her a chance or even having constructive criticism. She eventually liked it and now she competes on Team U.S.A. representing the middle age women’s division, and she actually wins these things! That was super inspirational to me. With that I thought about things that people say I shouldn’t or can’t do that I always go against the grain about, so that wasn’t the lesson. The lesson I got out of this was realizing that I make excuses out of things that I feel are going to be too hard for me or I say “I just don’t have the time for it” or “no, I’m ok, that’ll be too much work”. People always ask me why I won’t start a record label when I get older because I have all these networking connections, people want to be on my time, I’m about to get a degree in business, I want to work for a record company so why don’t I just start my own, and I have an ear for music an I’m very passionate about it. So, as I was walking out of class, I figured I’d add one more thing to my list to accomplish even though I know it’s going to take MAJOR money and MAJOR time! I always complain about artist that are out now, so how about I do something about it. I have MAJOR drive and because of stories like the one I heard today, my inspiration GROWS; my inspiration never DIES!
P.S. I know my title is referring to money but I look at it like this, as my drive and inspiration appreciates, so will my ideas and money! 😉
P.P.S. My inspirational song is “All This Time” by Ms. Maria Mena. Everyone should have their own song so when your inspiration depreciates, you can raise it back up again by letting that certain song get you through the day, or just give you that inspiration you need for the day.
